Ross – Director

Background: Ross was a founding member of the Strong Minds Psychology team, and has been a part of Strong Minds Psychology since 2016. He has been supporting the growth and development of psychology services in the community since 2010. He is passionate about working in a strong team environment to support our communities, and creating structures and connections that allow us to provide more opportunities to support mental health and facilitate improved daily living. 

Ross has over 25 years experience in the small business sector, providing excellent and efficient customer service, and working with clients to find the best possible outcome for their needs. After more than two decades, Ross has finished running his other small business, so he can focus on supporting our team & community. 

Special Interests: Golf, board games, spending time with family, podcasts, running, exercise challenges.

Work Days: Monday to Friday across our Yarra Junction and Warragul clinics and communities.

 

Rhonda – Finance Officer

Background: Rhonda was a founding member of the Customer Service team, and has been a part of Strong Minds Psychology since 2016. She provides professional administration and finance support to our psychologists and all of our clients. With more than 20 years experience in the healthcare, early childhood and private sectors, Rhonda believes that supportive communication and organisation play a vital part in creating a successful team. 

Special Interests: Rhonda loves the challenge of balancing work and family life in her local community and you will find her studying many recipes, or enjoying some scrap booking.

Melissa – Customer Service

Background: After many years in the education and health industries, Melissa joined our Customer Service team in 2021. Melissa is passionate about creating a sense of belonging, connection & community. She loves helping others & enjoys working as part of a team. 

Special Interests: Spending time with her Cavoodle, Layla; Visiting new places, checking out arts & crafts at the market, eating out at cafes & restaurants, working with resin & other art modalities.

Abi - Customer Service

Background: Abi joined our Customer Service team in 2022, and brings a wealth of customer service and administrative experience from various industries including Early Childhood, Pharmaceutical and Health Services. Customer service has been a focal point in every position of her career and she is committed to help clients experience a friendly and welcoming environment at Strong Minds Psychology. 

Abi is also a qualified massage therapist and ran her own business in the UK before moving to Australia in 2012.  

Abi loves working within her local community and has volunteered time with local charities and her children’s sporting and community groups over the years. 

Special Interests: Thanks to her two children, you can ask her anything about Pokemon, Nintendo games, the Marvel universe, and Anime cosplay!

Brooke - Customer Service

Qualifications: Mental Health First Aid Accreditation, Bachelor of Criminology & Psychology (Candidate)

Background: Brooke joined the customer service team mid 2023, following a career change motivated by her current studies in psychology and her peer support engagement in her previous role within the aviation industry. 

Brooke has spent the majority of her working life as Cabin Crew, where she has gained valuable experience in customer service, communication and teamwork. This experience has enhanced Brooke’s passion for supporting the community through customer service, which has led Brooke to commence studies in the field of psychology and gain employment in allied health. 

Brooke values supportive communication and assisting the community in finding the support they need. 

Special Interests: Long nature walks, pilates, travelling, spending time with family in the outdoors.
